A HEAVENLY GLOW
An exquisite rosary made of antique handcut crystals from the 1920's. The beads are a delicate blue grey, each one is a bit different confirming they are handmade .  The Pater beads are a rare find - Marcasite (stone / pyrite) set in filigreed silver beads. We had never seen Marcasite Beads before.  Each one is like a miniature work of art and each rosary carries a different design. We used tiny hard to find gold faceted spacer beads which shoot out flashes of light along with the surface of the crystal beads.  It gives this rosary a heavenly glow.

REVELATION 4:2-6
At once I was caught up in spirit. A throne was there in heaven, and on the throne sat one whose appearance sparkled like jasper and carnelian. Around the throne was a halo as brilliant as an emerald.  Surrounding the throne I saw twenty-four other thrones on which twenty-four elders sat, dressed in white garments and with gold crowns on their heads.
+
From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings, and peals of thunder.  Seven flaming torches burned in front of the throne, which are the seven spirits of God.

INTERESTING HISTORY
I remember taking raw samples of calcite with marcasite crystals while visiting a quarry in Galena, Ill while in college.  God has hidden a rainbow of colors in the earth just like the panorama of colors above the earth.
 +
Marcasite is a mineral ore and a form of iron pyrite. It  was originally used in jewelry as a substitute for diamonds. It became popular under the reign of Louis XIV of France. In later years, it regained its popularity during the "Roaring Twenties" and brought much glamour and glitter to affordable popular jewelry. Today marcasite is [ also ] used in industry to produce sulferic acid.   Shared by Fr Joe
