DEDICATED TO ALL WHO HAVE ADDICTIONS We all have Addictions. So this page is dedicated to all of us! The world seems to be out of control, money problems, wars, self doubt, unworthiness, all. It is easy to turn to worldly answers to relax and bury these problems instead turning to our Lord for answers. + But some are small addictions - some stronger than others. The question has to be,'Is the addiction standing between them (or me) and the Lord? Am I serving the Lord or am I serving the addition? 'Am I an enabler or am I a pray-er? + PRAY FOR LOVED ONES This page is dedicated to those who suffer life changing addictions or have loved ones who suffer from life changing addictions. (feast day 29 September) Intercessor against temptations of worldly addictions (see 7 deadly sins) + St. Michael means, "Who is Like God". He is the Archangel spoken of in Daniel 12:1: "1 At that time there shall arise Michael, the great prince, guardian of your people; It shall be a time unsurpassed in distress since nations began until that time. At that time your people shall escape, everyone who is found written in the book." + Are we in those times? Are we seeking - being lured by - worldly answers over worldly problems more than ever before? The evil one is threatened by what we can do for others and for the Lord. He wants to seek and destroy who we are and who we have been called to be. He wants to divert us through addictions. + This alone gives St Michael and his angels the power to protect each of us from the evil one. From guardian angel through the 9 choirs of angels under the Prince of Angels, Michael we are protected through intercessory prayer. + WISDOM 2:23,24 23 For God formed man to be imperishable; the image of his own nature he made him. 24 But by the envy of the devil, death entered the world, and they who are in his possession experience it. + 1 CORINTHIANS 6:19,20 19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? 20 For you have been purchased at a price. b. 8 January 1894 - d. August 14 1941 (martyred)- feast day August 14 Intercessor of Drug Addiction / Substance (food) Abuse + Before his ordination as a priest, Maximilian founded the Immaculata Movement devoted to Our Lady. After receiving a doctorate in theology, he spread the Movement through a magazine entitled "The Knight of the Immaculata" During WWII, he died atAuschwitz prison whre he was given a lethal injection of phenol after being without food for 2 weeks. He helped form a community of 800 men, the largest in the world. He was canonized by Pope John Paul II in 1982. + QUOTES No one in the world can change truth. What we can and should do is seek truth and serve it when we have found it. The real conflict is within. Beyond the armies of occupation and the hectacombs of the extermination camps, two irreconcilable armies lie in the depth of every soul. + And of what use are the victories of the battlefield if we are defeated in our innermost selves? (b. 2 May, 1856 – d. 7 June, 1925) Intercessor for alcoholism and gluttony Born into poverty and alcoholism
in the inner city of Dublin, Ireland, he began drinking at 12. By the age
of 28 he decided to become sober. (His father was a shipyard worker
and during this period of Irish history, no Catholics were allowed work
in shipyards or other places. If found out, they would be killed).
He began by going to confession and receiving Eucharist. He was given a
12 step rehab program by a priest friend. (now used by Alcoholics Anonymous.
He lived his life as the early Irish monks (6th - 7th c) did. which consisted
of prayer, fasting and almsgiving.

(feast days: 19 March, the worker, 1 May) Intercessor for family life against abortion, porn, incest, adultery, rape and same sex attractions. + Little is known about St Joseph, foster father of Jesus. The last known scripture tells of the holy family presenting 12 year old Jesus at the temple. Joseph is the patron of the church, of husbands, fathers and family life. Some healing may require generational healing. + "As Joseph protected the physical body of the child Jesus on earth, so does he continue to protect, through his intercessory prayer from heaven, the mystical body of Christ, the Church. As the mother of Christ is called mother of the Church, so also her husband, the guardian of Christ, is called the protector of the Church.'
