ASKED FOR A SIGN A gathering of hand carved and antiqued bone flowers. Each to remind us of the flowers on Tepeyac Hill where Mary appeared. Remember how Mary led Juan Diego to pick the 'out of season' roses, then carefully arranged each one of them in his tilma (cloak) to take to the bishop as proof of her presence? Only Mary knew the bishop had secretly prayed for a sign - a sign of Castilian Roses from his Basque home land. And there they were!
