uh ... THREE
- (and so is Hobblet --- who came along for the ride!) + OUR INTERCESSORS These two honorary guild members look over our worktable. Some mornings we come to the table and things aren't quite the way we left them and we wonder - if possible (and we know it is possible), just possibly we have had some heavenly company rearranging a few beads here and there - ideas come together from these new arrangements - and many are now on the site. So we feel free to say. "Thank you dear Mary and Little Flower, we love what you do for us, we love your rosaries!" for more information

*WHO WE ARE* |
(under the wings of the Holy Spirit) +
We are a guild of crafts women who live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the diocese of Marquette. We are active members of the Church of the Precious Blood and are all moms and (19 children). Most of us are grandmoms - over 37 grandchildren and 3 great grand children! |
When you buy one of Guilds Rosaries you will know who made it as there will be a signature on either a tag or on your invoice sheet. Your name will go into our prayer box and you will be with us in name, spirit and prayer. We would love to be remembered in yours, too. (PS) unable to get a picture of Carol L without her hands in constant motion? Yes, but must be her French blood? +
LEFT: CAROL L: VP Music - Carol is choir director at Church of the Precious Blood and keeps us in tune at the work table. Since her husband Terry's death, she sings with the Sweet Adelines International and loves to sew for her 6 grand kids! She takes care of sale rosaries and designs special order rosaries. Orders parts and beads as needed. She also does charges and payroll. + MIDDLE: SHARON T: Is our DRE (Director of Religions Education) at Church. She also teaches the youth and sets up the programs and brings in the teachers. She also sings in our Choir and former member of the Menominee River Chorus. And enjoys her 4 children and 9 grand children. In her spare time she raises sheep and horses. She makes the rosaries s that are ordered. + RIGHT: TINA L: Is a lector at our church, Former teaches in the Faith Formation of the youth. Also a former member of the Parish Council. At the Rosary Workshop, Tina is in charge of the antique religious medals and crucifixes as ordered from our three casters in solid bronze and sterling. She also fills the orders for Bibles, Books and DVDs. She enjoys her husband Jim and deaghter Julianne. |
JEANNIE: and TOM (below) keep us together and on track at the annual bead shows in Tucson (International Gem and Mineral Show) and Milwaukee (Largest National Bead Show) where we shop for our vintage and antique bead collectors from all over the world - and - our 4+ metal casters. + Not to forget our one of a kind antique metals for casting at the "Old Flea Markets" in Germany, Italy and Ireland. +
LEFT: TOM
T: Tom has multiple jobs on wheels! (Some 4 wheels and some 2
wheels) He keeps us humored with great stories that Jeannie has heard over
and over again! And makes us sure we eat 3 healthy meals a day! Tom drives
us down to the Milwaukee show and to the Tucson show and lets off right
at the door! He even scouts beads at the shows and carts all our
purchases!

love and mikss ya!
LEFT : CAROL
M: VP of beads - she keeps the group from getting too serious - when
she laughs beads fly all over the place. Carol has chaired the Life in
the Spirit Seminars, annual Church Bazaar, and she and her husband have
spent years as EMs. Pretty busy these days being a gramma and great
gramma - a great cook! Carol made rosaries, kept the inventory books
up to date. And we share 2 grandkids! Deeply missed as she was here the
longest.
LEFT: PAT D: Pat is VP of silly jokes - She and her husband are right hand helpers to our priest. Pat does Communion services when Sister is gone, fills in as Lector and at the parish office when needed. Love their many grandchildren and they are now loyal Florida snowbirds! + RIGHT: CLARA C. VP of crimping pliers (inside joke), herbs, acupuncture, and all kinds of health things. She and her husband Javier are both EMs. Chaperoned youth to Steubenville as attending doctors as both are surgeons. They have 2 children and now practice in NH + NOT PICTURED: LINDA K: Linda is a beautiful inspiration and example of a Cancer survivor. She inspires us all with her positive response to "terminal" as she is much too busy living and traveling all over the place! Her daughter Tina works for the Rosary Workshop (see above) |
Our gifts are spread out beyond this ministry - in music (choir director), Eucharist ministry, teaching at the Prayer Group or CCD, working with Pre Marriage and preparing our youth for Confirmation. And we just seem to hang out together. Most of us have been to Franciscan University at Steubenville - either through chaperoning our youth to the Conferences or simply - taking credited courses - and all of us belong to the Fruit of the Spirit Prayer Group. And yes, the husbands are all friends and pray together in the men's group! God is Good! + In 2000, the year of God's favor, the guild did a pilgrimage to the cathedral of our Diocese in Marquette MI, where we spent the day with many other pilgrims from the UP of Michigan. First, we met with the Bishop, then with a dear friend and fellow Michigan resident, 'Butch' Jim Murphy. Jim led us in a mini retreat, sharing with us how the Lord worked through his people on his pilgrimage walk across the UP 10 years ago. (This would be a simple trek compared to his next walk requested by several of our US Bishops. The pilgrimage walk from Florida to California (93-94) was one of forgiveness and unity.) We shared Eucharist, then sat down to wonderful dinner before returning home on our pilgrim bus. And our hearts GIVE THANKS as the sign behind us shares, to you for your encouragement and support over the last 5 years. |

Well, who is he? We are not really sure. He followed us home from Germany so we put him on top of the computer where he sits. Problem is, he keeps jumping in front of the keyboard then off to the beads. + HOBBLET
+ Our biggest problem is that he loves beads. Loves beads! Loves to string beads but as you can see, his beard keeps getting in the way and the beads fall off the strings into his beard. (still some hidden in there) What should we do? He is kinda cute ... guess we will call him, 'HOBBLET! |
