A wonderful find from lower Bavaria. This 15 decade strung rosary or Psalter has a tiny credo cross on the pendant before the beautiful medallion that images the Visitation on one side and a profile of John the Baptist on the other. + The beautifully imaged medallion reads: 'VISITAZIO B.MARIA VIR' and 'S.IOANNES BAPT O.PRO.N.' for more information

*CONFIGURATION*
SEE MEDALLION BELOW A full rosary called a Psalter with its 15 decades. (Slightly over 18 in from CB to tip of medallion) It was dated 1720s by our German Antique dealer in OberAmmergau. |
*BEADS*
FINE GRAINED AND RICHLY COLORED Paternosters have small metal caps at each end. Beads are beautifully and evenly formed. Fine grained and richly colored, but unidentified wood. 5 to 7 mm. |
