 *ABOUT IRISH HORN ROSARIES*

... Irish Horn Rosaries ...
Thank you, thank you! My dear father-in-law died earlier this year; my mother-in-law had preceded him many years ago.  So the siblings and spouses spent much time, sadly, breaking up the house. I "inherited" several Rosaries. Among them were the one Dad had in daily use (in the Irish penal style with wooden beads, well-worn!), one that had been a souvenir gift to Mom years ago (square Connemara marble beads and Celtic crucifix, very heavy and large, probably not for daily use).  These two I have placed with love near their wedding picture.
+
A third was a small, not very imposing rosary with brown beads and reddish-brown crucifix, with a heart shaped center. One bead has deteriorated completely away. Somewhere on there it says "Ireland."I was mystified about the material--plastic? celluloid??  It's the exact replica of the brown horn rosary on your antiques page.  I'm so glad to know what it is. Blessings,  Anne Madison (USA)

DATED 1990s - (family of Maggie Doyle)
"The shamrock is the best known symbol of Ireland. It was used by Saint Patrick to explain Christianity to the Pagan Kings when he came to Ireland in 4322 ad. It is this association with Saint Patrick that makes these rosary beads so special. They help yo to find, through prayer, strength and inner contentment."   (handmade)
