ESPECIALLY FOR ROSARYMAKERS +
+ NOW SMALLER PACKAGING We are able to create units of 60, 12, 10 or 6 for resale, saving rosarymakers money. Why? Because we buy in mass (1200s) or kilos. So if beads are not dedicated to a specific rosary, we package them into a more useable, less wasteful counts. Wonder why bead makers chose the traditional 16 in strands? see below: ORIGIN OF 16 in STRANDS for a sampling of our new printable catalogs preview these links - they will take you to each larger selection ANTIQUE BEADS - 2 WINDOW & GEMCUTS - FACETED 8 mm FLOWER BEADS - HORN, BONE, WOOD also check out the following STONE BEADS - NECKLACE PENDANTS MORE LOOSE BEADS - SKULLS and you may find these interesting FINISHING BEADS - LIMITED - BRONZE CHAINS more items for jewelry and rosary making FINDINGS - MORE LINKS back to metal supplies; CROSSES/CRUCIFIXES/ ROSARY CENTERS/RELIGIOUS MEDALS |
One of the problems we had when first buying beads to make rosaries was the way beads were packaged. Not enough in one 16 in string to make a rosary so had to buy 2 to gain a few. This left too many beads unused. + WHY 16 INCHES? It was explained to us that originally beads were strung for rosary makers - 59 7mm beads per strand which measured 16 in. This became the standard measurement for stringing beads regardless of mm. Today, since it is almost impossible to find 7mm (industry sells 7mm to commercial rosary makers), we have gone to 8mm. This means one must buy 2 straings to complete a rosary. + NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF THE ROSARY IN PRAYING HANDS The first Hail Mary was brought to earth by Angel Gabriel to Mary. Paul VI called the rosary "a compendium of the Gospel." Pio called praying the rosary, "his weapon". At Fatima, Mary identified herself as: + "I AM THE LADY OF THE ROSARY" she continued by telling the 3 children at Fatima:
And we must never forget her timeless words to each of us, especially today with so many problems and concerns we each have for our loved ones, our selves, our nation. From spiritual and health concerns to financial. |

A vender explained to us that they are still being found as many were buried during WWII by Jewish bead makers and merchants to hide from the enemy. Sadly, many died in the camps and never returned. Today, these beads are being found as construction crews dig to build new businesses and office buildings. + Other collections being found in storage and sold by their children to jobbers as have no interest in beads, directing their careers to high tech and computers. |

Those new (professional) side cutters are fantastic! I've had mine for a year, and I love them. Couldn't imagine that there'd be such a difference between those and a less expensive pair, but there is! Plus they have a lifetime resharpening service. Maria K (Via Rosa) professional rosary maker + ... WE USE THEM AT THE ROSARYWORKSHOP ... This is true - I bought my professional side cutters by K H LEE over 5 years ago and they are as sharp as the day I bought them - just don't cut anything else with them - like, don't try to cut through crimping beads! They are especially made for softflex type products, and I love their padded handles. (He signs each pair which is a nice touch.) Now all the guild uses them and yes, they are very good about repairs or replacement. Had to replace one pair and they were returned within a week. + M |

~ DISCLAIMER ETC.~ |
We love giving these old treasures new life! We have gone to a lot of trouble, time and effort searching, purchasing, researching dates and history. We restore damaged pieces to their original beauty before they are cast and made available. All this so we all can use them again. + There is nothing that pleases us more than to hear from you. It means so much to us knowing you are enjoying using these beautiful pieces in your work as much as we do. We too are inspired by them and humbled by the richness of these rare old designs when incorperated into rosaries. + THE ROSARY WORKSHOP RECOGNIZES MANY OLD TREASURES ARE STILL AVAILABLE IN FLEA MARKETS, EBAY, ETC.(SOME ARE THE SAME AS THE ONES WE ARE USING, SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY WERE ORIGINALLY CAST IN LARGE NIMBERS) WE ENCOURAGE OTHERS WHO WISH TO REPRODUCE THEM TO PURCHASE THEIR OWN, REPAIR, RESEARCH AND CAST AS NEEDED. + + UNETHICAL USE + PLEASE NOTE: We honor the fact that Equatoria AND Samsara have also restored, modified, merged and upgraded many of these old and antique pieces offered on our wholesale and retail sites. (To make them more useful for all of us.) In many cases this brings them into a new catagory and out of public domain. Some now carry copyrights and we recognize and honor them as such. + We trust that no one is abusing this, that these pieces are not being recast and sold as 'exclusive' to another web site, buyer / seller. Please report any abuse to the links below: EQUATORIA - SAMSARA - ROSARYWORKSHOP |
We have never nor will we ever remove any copyrights, trademarks or signatures on items before casting them. We recognize that others before us may have done this and that a piece may have been recast several times before reaching us, which is out of our control. + + PUBLIC DOMAIN + All crucifixes, crosses, rosary centers and medals found and restored by the Rosary Workshop to be hand cast are, to the best of our research and knowledge, from Public Domain - This means they are either too old to trace or have no visible signs of a copyright or trademark on their surface. + We note that if a piece contains the signature of an untraceable artist (recognized to be over 70 (Europe) to 100 years old) we will share this information in respect to their work. + If at a later date we discover an item does hold a legal copyright or trademark we will either credit the designer in respect of the artist or remove the item from our stock. |

~ WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING ~ Comments below are from customers and reflect the overall comments we receive daily. It gives us such great pleasure to know that our ministry is making a difference, even in the midst of rising prices of silver and bronze. The vintage/antique items we cast give them new life and we believe are more beautiful than most of the parts available today. We are told daily, the parts we have cast do make a powerful difference in the overall rosary and chaplet design. |
Hi Margot, thanks for your email. This is only the second order I've placed with you - the first parts I got were SO BEAUTIFUL, and I just love them!! Now I have to make some to sell- I hope I can sell them all and come back for more, as I could easily come up with a thousand different designs with all the various pieces you offer - the possibilities are endless. They are such an inspiration, as is your entire site! One thing I would never have imagined about these bronze pieces until I made a strung rosary with them, is the beautiful chime sound they make when they brush against the glass beads- it's just heavenly, and really adds to the overall beauty of the rosary. I just can't say enough- thank you THANK you for offering such lovely quality pieces!! I can't wait to see my new order in person! Warmest regards,Anne Y (NC)
