 intercessory prayers for family before your rosary - rememberingthat  freedom may be lost in on generation if not carried to theirchildren. Read what President Reagan said below:

H.H.S. MANDATE
CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS
I hadn't thought of sharing this generational (Family Tree) prayer until we were discussing the new HHS MANDATE (Health and Human Services health bill and demands on our Catholic community. and our Constitution) How Cardinal Dolan said:  "In effect, the president is saying we have a year to figure out how to violate our consciences."  Knowing if and when resolved there will be more.

FAITH COMMUNITIES MERGING
How do we respond to this Mandate or any to follow?  Yet, regardless of our evangelical faith communities we are hearning a call to unity . we are hearing a universal response from our brothers and sisters of faith, Christians, Jews, all.  It is becoming a battle cry  - "We are all Catholics now" These merging faith communities are becoming one in voice against what is happening to our Constitutional and moral rights one step at a time. This is not the first issue nor will it be the last. Ronald Reagan said it well:

FREEDOM IS NOT PASSED
 THROUGH THE BLOODSTREAM

A GENERATIONAL
PRAYER BEFORE YOUR ROSARY.
Several years ago I sensed the Lord give me a special prayer before my daily rosary.  Instead of just praying for 'my family', I was given a visual prayer of a beautiful family tree along with several images which really organized my family  name by name. To incorporate into your family tree prayer, simply make a list that works for you. (I will share in parentheses how it worked for our family and you may adjust it to yours. May give you some ideas.)

MAKE YOUR FAMILY LIST
The 4 images of the tree helped simplify my family list and hope it will yours:  1. LIVING  BRANCHES (living family members: children, grandchildren) and  2. TRUNK, (transitional: present living or recently passed spouse, etc.who represent the strength in the family) 3. LIVING ROOTS (deceased parents, grandparents, children, family members and generations passed) and  4.  BUDS OF THOSE TO COME (future generations).

This page was being constructed before the HHS  Mandate was announced re governmental interference with the First Amendment and our Constitution (Feb 2012).  When we realized what was being said in this Mandate we changed directions, realizing this family tree prayer - the fact that we are here was because past family 
members said 'Yes to life.' How important it is to teach the next generation to be aware ...  (see links at the bottom of this page)

See what you think about this visual prayer as it brings a whole family together: those here (Church Militant), those who have passed on (Church Penitent and Church Triumphant) and those little ones who will be our future family.  Does it help us to understand how we are the Children of God and members of the Mystical Body of Christ. How to involve our whole family in intercessory prayer, especially for those of us who are still living. And how we are called to say yes to life protecting the living from conception to natural death.

Continue by recognizing 
FAMILY MEMBER(S) WHO REPRESENT THE 
STRENGTH OR BACKBONE OF YOUR FAMILY

Living or Dead, remember by name family member(s) who supply (or supplied) strength nourish your family. (for us it was my husband who has passed but still, through intercessory prayer, still nourishes and strengthens our family today)

IN A MYSTERIOUS WAY
In a mysterious way, this FAMILY FREEDOM TREE prayer begins to break down the dimensions of time and space, helping us to enter into a greater understanding of the Mystical Body of Christ. 

*BASKETS UNDER THE TREE*
NOT TO FORGET OUR FRIENDS
And then - there was also an image of a beautiful hand made 'Spiritual Basket' to put all those petitions in for those who I promised to remember and pray for that day and forgot! I am learning to add each name to the spiritual basket as the day goes along, knowing the Lord will know if I forget!

SET THIS SPIRITUAL 
BASKET UNDER THE TREE 
 At the end of the day, take the spiritual basket full of requests and mentally set it under the protective, living branches, next to the trunk, and over the living roots of your family tree. Say a prayer, asking all to keep these prayers in their hearts. Intercede for  them, present, past and future, for their needs, for God's love, his healing grace and mercy and covered by Mary's mantle of protection.

  VISUALIZE the LIVING ROOTS OF YOUR TREE
Continue by recognizing 
FAMILY MEMBER(S) WHO HAVE PASSED ON
AND UPON WHOSE SHOULDERS WE STAND TODAY.

  Name immediate kin who have died (from children, parents on both sides down to grandparents, then down the living roots of the family tree - remembering the living roots nourish the tree. Our relatives and ancestors are all a loving, living part of the Mystical Body of Christ (Communion of Saints), making up the Church Penitent (Purgatory) and the Church Triumphant (Heaven). (for us it is my husband who has passed but still, through intercessory prayer nourishes and strengthens our family today, next dec. parents on both sides and dec. grandparents on both sides. Then all relatives upon whose shoulders we stand toady)

Thank all ancestors upon whose shoulders we stand today. Thank them for saying 'yes' to life.  Thank them for protecting our freedom. Thank them for loving us. And pray for them asking the Lord to love and bless them in their needs with his mercy and grace.

FULL CIRCLE OF PRAYER
Ask for those in your past generational family who can, to intercede for you and your familys needs today. Ask all who have passed generation after generation down the living roots of your family tree to also pray for those in your spiritual basket.
