OUR FATHER + Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, "Sit here while I go over there and pray." He took along Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to feel sorrow and distress. (Matt26:3637) HAIL MARY + Then he said to them, "My soul is sorrowful even to death. Remain here and keep watch with me." ( Matt. 26:38) HAIL MARY + After withdrawing about a stone's throw from them and kneeling, he prayed, (Luke 22:41) HAIL MARY + ... saying, "Father, if you are willing, take this cup away from me; still, not my will but yours be done." (Luke 22:42) HAIL MARY + And to strengthen him an angel from heaven appeared to him. (Luke 22:43) HAIL MARY + He was in such agony and he prayed so fervently ... (Luke22:43) HAIL MARY + ... that his sweat became like drops of blood falling on the ground (Luke 22:44) HAIL MARY + When he returned to his disciples he found them asleep. He said to Peter, "So you could not keep watch with me for one hour? (Mt 26:40) HAIL MARY + Watch and pray that you may not undergo the test. (Mt 26:41) HAIL MARY + The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." (Mt 26:41) HAIL MARY |
