OUR FATHER + They bound Jesus, led him away, and handed him over to Pilate. Pilate questioned him, "Are you the king of the Jews?" (Mark 15:1- 2) HAIL MARY + Jesus answered, "My kingdom does not belong to this world.... my kingdom is not here." (John18:36) HAIL MARY + So Pilate said to him,"Then you are the King?" You say I am a King. For this I was born and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice. (John 18:37) HAIL MARY + Pilate said to him, "What is truth?" When he had said this, he again went out to the Jews and said to them,"I find no guilt in him. (John 18:38) HAIL MARY + Then Pilate took Jesus and had him scourged. (John 19:1) HAIL MARY + He was spurned and avoided by men, a man of suffering, accustomed to infirmity, One of those from whom men hide their faces, spurned, and we held him in no esteem.(Is 53:3) HAIL MARY + Yet it was our infirmities that he bore, our sufferings that he endured, While we thought of him as stricken, as one smitten by God and afflicted. (Is.53:4) HAIL MARY + But he was pierced for our offenses, crushed for our sins, (Is 53:5) HAIL MARY + We had all gone astray like sheep, each following his own way; But the LORD laid upon him the guilt of us all. (Is 53:6) HAIL MARY + Upon him was the chastisement that makes us whole, by his stripes we were healed. (Is 53:5) HAIL MARY |
