I AM YOUR MERCIFUL MOTHER
"I wish that a temple be erected here quickly, so I may therein exhibit and give all my love, compassion, help, and protection. Because I am your merciful mother, to you, and to all the inhabitants on this land and all the rest who love me, invoke and confide in me; to listen there to their lamentations, and remedy all their miseries, afflictions and sorrows .... Handcarved wood symbolizes the earth of Tepeyac Hill.

... And to accomplish what my clemency pretends, go to the palace of the bishop of Mexico, and you will say to him that I manifest my great desire, that here on this plain a temple be built to me."

WHY WOULD SHE ASK FOR A TEMPLE?
Why would she ask for 'a temple be built to me'. Several reasons. First, to house the tabernacle containing her son, Jesus. Reminiscent of when she carried her son in her womb, remembering she is pregnant in the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
and in a temple (basilica) she protects her little ones.

A LARGE ROSARY FOR SPECIAL PEOPLE
Rare, old hand carved cinnabar beads surrounded by turquoise rondelles to remind us of Our Lady. We have used bodhi seeds as the Ave Beads to symbolize the earth of Tepeyac Hill. Pater beads (7/8 in) are powerful reminders of the passion of Christ. The center is an ancient one dedicated to Mary and the crucifix is simple by strong.
