Therese wrote a wonderful meditation called 'Living Bread'. This rosary is dedicated to her garden of roses that she spills down upon the earth daily because of her dedication to the Sacred Mystery. This Sacred Mystery, this Living Bread, this cluster of love, comes to us from a heavenly garden into our hearts in the present moment. + PATERS ON THIS THIRD DEDICATION ARE OF HAND CARVED RED JASPER, WHILE THE AVE BEADS ARE OF FACETED JASPER THAT RANGE FROM RICH MOSSY GREENS TO TERRA COTTAS. WE HAVE USED A 'GEMCUT' TO GIVE THIS ROSARY A SHORTER LENGTH. + One day at a time, roses bloom and die but the fragrance of each never leaves, forever staying in the mind of each of us, just like the precious souls of the ones we love so much. That is why 'Just for Today' is a part of our present moment, where the Lord lives, where Mary lives, where Therese and all our loved ones live in Christ. +

Saint Therese of Lisieux was declared a Doctor of the Church in 1997. She was born Therese Martin, on January 2, 1873, the youngest child of Louis Martin, a watchmaker, and Azelie-Marie Guerin, a lacemaker. On April 9, 1888, Therese entered the Carmel at Lisieux. + Therese of the Child Jesus died on September 30, 1897. She was 24 years old. |
