And doubt we will ever see them again. + PLEASE NOTE: Our Spiritual Advisor, Father Joe assures us - in the world of gemology - this stone belongs to the lace agate family, and often is identified further by color such as 'red fire lace agate'. These 'lace agates, (called by some, 'DZI') are newly mined and marketed and have no history from any other culture. The Vender called them "heaven's bead" or "heaven's pearl" and by some, DZI means "shine, brightness, clearness, splendor." Again, these stones are the signature of the word of God. MILLIONS OF YEARS OLD Think of it! the semi precious stones used in these rosaries are millions of years old and were spoken into existence by the word of God! They are his creatures. Rosaries in this collection that are made from these gemstones are often strung in their natural form as chunks or chips reminding us of the early church fathers who used pebbles to count their prayers. + ONE STONE AT A TIME We picture the desert fathers using these pebbles, but unlike ours, their counting stones were probably unstrung and kept in a leather pouch! Dzi stones have been used for centuries and have special meanings in different parts of the world:. To some it means "shine, brightness, clearness, splendor." In Chinese, the bead is called "heaven's bead" or "heaven's pearl" PATER BEADS: Another great find at a recent Bead Show - from Czechoslovakia, these glass beads are designed by the venders wife - we love them! And love the way the antiqued filigree caps capture the bead and hold it in place! This bead is opaque although appears to be hollow or clear in the center. It is actually a natural matte that carries the colors of the Ave beads. Flat beads are comforting to the touch, easy for prayer and meditation. + OPAQUE PATER BEADS center is matte
