(for more information, scroll down) + ENDURING MERCY III RMI: MUSEUM INSPIRED SERIES This rosary was inspired by a museum chaplet of 5 sets of 5 small beads, in between the larger hand carved antiqued bone rosebud beads (symbolizing 5 wounds of Christ) + 5 WOUNDS OF CHRIST The Rosary Workshop is deeply dedicated to searching out the antique rosaries from museums and books. Why? Because these early rosaries and chaplets were made - from available items, not to create a commercial rosary - but from rare and beautiful pieces to create an art form one can pray on. The rosary below was inspired by a museum chaplet of 5 sets of 5 small beads, in between the larger hand carved antiqued bone rosebud beads (symbolizing 5 wounds of Christ) + WORKING WITH RARE COMPONENTS Working with rare components does make a difference in the finished design. Crucifixes, rosary centers and religious medals cast from antiques in sterling and bronze along with hard to find antique beads (or those inspired by them) do make the difference. But most of all, it is in the way a designer chooses to put it all together. And as so many of you have said, 'they invite you to prayer'.

ORIGINAL: 5 WOUNDS OF CHRIST We saw the original image of this inspiration in an old rosary book. It had large, rosebud beads, symbolizing the 5 wounds of Christ. The original had 5 sets of 5 Ave beads. We have made this rosary into the standard 5 sets of 10 beads .
+ AVE BEADS: the Ave beads are pre WWII - from the 1930-40s (Germany)and are a lovely matte brown somewhat translucent. The original did not have a crucifix or center, we also added those to our interpretation. PATER BEADS: We have used hand carved bone rose beads. Each is capped with an antiqued filigree as the early rosries were! + hand carved rosebud
