The Pater bead (antique cane ca 20s) also appears to be a heart, His Sacred Heart. It is a pressed glass bead from Germany. Crystal with deep red inclusions, also taking on the essence of a reliquary or crystal vial filled with a drop of the Precious Blood of our Lord. Very powerful symbolism to remind one of the sacred gift of Jesus who died for our sins. (Also the blood and water.)
