+ CARVED KNOT BEADS REMIND US OF THE EARLY KNOTTED CORD ROSARIES Each knot bead is hand carved then antiqued for a beautiful Ave bead. Almost as if Wisdom itself had carved each one, never changing, yet ever changing. Wisdom is alive, never changing yet speaking to us through its many facets depending on our own personal needs and understanding. Chinese Pietersite is a form of tigereye and is often referred to as 'eagles eye' because of its blue cast. + EACH ROUGH CUT PIETERSITE STONE IS A WORK OF ART IN ITSELF, NO TWO ARE ALIKE. NATURAL CHUNKS ARE OUR FAVORITE OF ALL FOR PATERS. + A MYSTERY HISTORY! We have chosen the hand made Latin American Crucifix (ca 19c) which has been hand cast in solid bronze. We tried the silver and it did not compare so decided to offer it in solid bronze only. The chaplet crucifix is cast in bronze from a very ancient crucifix, estimated to be from the 1600s (Spain). It may have been brought to New Spain (Latin America) during the time of the discoveries as the ships contained many religious items to be given to the indigenous people by the friars who were planning to evangelize them. + Many ships did not make it and sank on the way to the new country, depositing their hold into the sea.
