NATURAL MATERIALS
Our intention in this series is to gather rosaries made of natural materials including some exotic and aromatic woods, seeds, horn, found objects and antiqued bone. As quickly as seeds travel in the wind to spread themselves throughout the earth, so did the Franciscans carry the Seed of God, his Word, Jesus Christ.

When the great sea explorers left Italy for points West, Franciscans were on board taking holy bibles and sacramentals to the new world. We hope these rosaries reflect some of that old world period.

	Dedicated to the Passion of Our Lord WE WERE HEALED - RSDA.2420 Black Buri Seed/Antique Glass - A powerful Sorrowful Mystery Rosary for those who keep a rosary for each mystery. EachTriune Pater appears to be a small crystal vial or reliquary of the Precious Blood. The slashed Aves tell us of the stripes he bore for our sins. 	*Rare mossy green Ave beads* PLENTIFUL HARVEST III - RSDA.2571 Mossy Green Glass with Rhyolite - Design for these faceted Czech glass Aves comes from old glass bead molds used when beads were individually hand pressed, one at a time (pre 1950s). Ends of each bead are finished in a 'granite' matte giving them the look of very old beads. Rhyolite Paters are framed in antique amethyst flower beads. Rhyolite is a by product of volcanic action. 	Dedicated to the Church of the Nativitiy TREE of LIFE IV - RSDA.2601 Olivewood with silver - Olivewood beads from Bethlehem, (Church of the Nativity.) No tree is destroyed in the process as beads are taken from the pruned wood of ancient trees. It is becoming very difficult, may soon be impossible to get. Pilgrimages have been going on since the beginning of Christianity. Early pilgrimages took people to the Holy Land, to Marian sites and some within the city of Rome. We are all in Process, Pilgrims along the way in life to the New Jerusalem.

... I was at the point of just stringing up a set of beads ...
I tend to use my rosary and carry it around all the time and the typical fifty dollar versions available everywhere don't hold up. The chain breaks over and over and I have been quite frustrated. I was at the point of just stringing up a set of beads on a cord when I remembered seeing your web site, and thought that your rosaries might be better made.They are, and so beautiful.
