USE TWO CRIMPING 
BEADS AT EACH JUNCTURE
Crimping beads are used to secure the SOFTFLEX WIRE  at the rosaryworkshop. We use the black on all as has a tendency to disappear when beads are strung on it (but our customers prefer to match the crimps to the wire color). We use two crimps on each juncture to secure the wire. (You might check our pictures to see how we do this).

WITH .019 WIRE USE 2MM 
CRIMPING BEADS
We match the color of the .019 SOFTFLEX WIRE with the 2mm crimping beads in our rosaries and found it to be the best most pliable and strongest quality for our use. Good side cutters and pliers are necessary tools for this technique.  See instructions below using the two notched crimping pliers. (the only difference between the instructions below and the way we do it is that we use the dead last, not the crimp)

 TO SECURE  WIRE

1. Finish design before threading crimping bead on wire
2. Loop wire through end ring - then back through crimping bead.
3.  Carefully / slowly pull wire into place - then release tension a little to allow for play.
4. Secure wire into place by crimping bead with crimping pliers. (see above)

TO FORM CRIMPING BEAD
To form a tight, clean, well shaped crimping bead you will need crimping pliers.  Please note shapes of two crimping areas. (See above) - For proper crimping, make sure you hold pliers so curve points toward you and not away.

1. INSIDE CRIMPER  -  folds bead into a "C" shape as it tightens and secures the wire in place.
2. OUTSIDE FOLDER - flattens and folds - secures -  bead on itself. 
3. TO ROUND BEAD OFF  -  turn crimping bead a 1/4 and crimp again,

REMEMBER NOT TO OVER DO PRESSURE AS IN PROCESS CAN BREAK OR 
CUT THE WIRE IF TOO MUCH PRESSURE IS APPLIED 
WHEN BEADS 
ARE MADE INTO ROSARIES
SOMETHING WONDERFUL HAPPENS
When the new beads come in, we  are all very excited to see what they look like.  They are so much more beautiful here than they were in Tucson on the tables where they are heaped up in great dusty piles.  But when they become rosaries, something even more wonderful happens.

Its something like a ship when it is first built. First it is a pile of material then it becomes an inert hull. But when the ship is Christened, in the US Navy it traditionally becomes 'alive' - as her crew goes on board and stands at rest.  That is when 'she' gains her 'soul'.

Well, beads seem to have a similar experience. Except when they are made into rosaries, the beads change - they just come alive - as if they are now what they were made to be.  Then, when they are blessed by a Priest, they take on a new aura of life.  But when they are prayed, that is when they - the beads truly become most beautiful as they are fulfilling their destiny!
