DEDICATED TO THE VICTIMS OF KATRINA
The name Katrina means 'pure'.  We have just discovered that the weekend of the hurricane was to be a celebration called 'DECADENCE WEEKEND' (check it out in Google). It was also the feast day of John the Baptist. There is much to ponder between the beautiful people of New Orleans who love the Lord and have been great Prayer Warriors to the practice of Voodoo and all its evil friends.  Where did the breeze from the Mid West come from that redirected the storm from a catagory 5 to a 4? Why did the area flood the next day?  When will it happen again?  What can we do to stop it from happening again?

OUR LADY OF PROMPT SUCCOR
Read about how Our Lady of Prompt Succor  (patroness of Louisiana) has taken care of the the people of New Orleans in the past. We will add more together as collected but turn your prayers towards her so that the powers from above will hear the prayers of her children. This chaplet carried the medal of OUR LADY OF PROMPT SUCCOR - so it carries a rich heritage from two sources now. (see below)

THE WORKERS ROSARY FROM YUGOSLOVAKIA
  My Dad's family is from Yugoslavia.  I am a first generation American.  My Grandma taught me that the 'Peace Chaplet' composed of the Creed, and 7 times the Pater, Ave and Gloria is the 'Worker's Rosary' that the blessed Mother will never refuse to hear  -  if prayed from the heart.  7 is the number of perfection in the Bible which makes the Peace Chaplet a perfect shorter prayer. So the Peace Chaplet is a local Croatian traditional prayer that is at least 100 years old...

Immaculate Heart of Mary, help us to conquer the menace of evil, which so easily takes root in the hearts of the people of today, and whose immeasurable effects already weigh down upon our modern world and seem to block the paths toward the future.

From famine and war,
deliver us.
From nuclear war, from incalculable self-destruction, from every kind of war,
deliver us.
From sins against human life from its very beginning,
